There are many experiences in life but not many that take us completely out of our comfort zone. Himalayan Heroes did that effortlessly while injecting a lot of challenges and fun. At the end of each day i could proudly say "mission accomplished".

Jenny Douglas, USA (2018 Sikkim & Bhutan)

I would recommend Himalayan Hereos to anyone that is looking for an adventure on two wheels. The don't so much as offer vacations, as they offer life changing experiences. From the second that we put our deposit down on the website for our trip, Rex was in constant communication with us via email. He sent us FAQs, recommendations for insurance, and shoes, and every minuscule question we had, he always answered and never got frustrated because it was already written on the website. He called us on the phone when our trip itinerary had to change due to border closures, and we felt overly taken care of. We had a Himalayan Hereos representative traveling with us, and he was the most approachable fun loving human on the planet. We've already mentally signed up for two other adventures because this is one of the best times we've ever had in our lives.

Ant Willis, UK (2018 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

Was a wild ride! An unforgettable trip of a life time!

Zane Cook, USA (2018 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

The perfect trip to put your riding skills to test while experiencing a different culture! I will definitely be attending another trip in the near future!

Peter Dykas, NSW Australia (2018 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

This ride was more challenging than I had anticipated, and quite difficult for some of the less experienced riders. For me it was a perfect balance, easy and hard. Our ride leader was a wealth of information, a great bloke and a seasoned rider. Some off-road experience will really come in handy on this ride. This is not a beach holiday. Do not expect to stay in a palace or eat gourmet food. Quite the opposite. Expect third world, and a fantastic experience with great company.

Matthew L, USA (2017 India - Distinguished Gentleman's Route)

The sum of the parts! The guys. Most of all the scenery, when I was not concentrating on the terrain, which was also excellent!

Kacey Elkins, USA (2017 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

I went into this trip thinking it would be incredible to see the Himalayas while riding a motorcycle, but it truly surpassed any expectations I had! Every day had some kind of shock and awe! I’d suggest to anyone that enjoys motorcycle and loves life to get with you guys and do a tour. Thanks for putting this together for us to enjoy.

Patrick Collaren, Canada (2017 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

It's been a week now since I was on old Bessie! Bessie the Bullet and I've still dreamt every night since about a part of the trip! It was amazing and life changing; best decision I ever made! I've got absolutely great things to say about the trip. The guide is such a powerful personality that he represents the light hearted fun needed for a trip not suited for the faint of heart. I will happily book again. I totally like the riding mentality of going at your own speed. When everyone was racing to keep pace with the leader I chose to lay back and take in the view without feeling pressure to keep up. Other than blowing a rear tire at 80kms I didn't feel like I held the group up or was made to feel like I did The front of the group got to see the country side fast then suck some exhaust at the next roadblock. I got to take the country in and almost never put my front down as the roadblocks were opening every time I pulled up. Amazing, I had a great experience.

Bill Bryant, USA - Biltwell Helmets (2017 India - Head Hunters)

The pace was good. Challenging enough, but not enough to really tax the riders. I felt like the crew was there to support us sufficiently but were not baby sitters, or overbearing in any way.

Tyler Malinky, USA - Lowbrow Customs (2017 India - Head Hunters)

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. The balance between unfettered freedom to ride and do as we like along with having capable guides and planning to make the trip run smooth was great. I did not feel like part of a tour, it was just an adventure with friends.

Peter Dykas, NSW Australia (2018 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

I had an absolute blast over there. I went over with two mates and came back with at least a dozen great people. If you’re a two wheeled enthusiast, you’ve got to tick it off your bucket list.

Mike Mekhitarian, NSW Australia (2018 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

Like I was hitting a brick wall with my senses. Fantastic people that I’ll never forget and I’d go back at the drop of a hat if I had the opportunity.

Ryan de Mol, WA Australia (2018 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

The crew and the trip was wicked, it was a great adventure with a shit load of laughs and heaps of beer, the mechanics did a great job at maintaining the bikes. We brought Frisbees and gave them to the kids in the villages and they loved them. The best part was the adventure, near death experiences, the crew and the culture, once in a life time experience and is a must do adventure.

Anton Ward, Australia (2018 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

I had a bloody great time on the ride – it’s made it hard to go back to the humdrum of everyday life! Thanks again to you and the team for the experience. Cheers, Anton

Tony Rettke, NSW Australia (2018 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

A totally mind blowing, eye opening adventure in a country I would otherwise never visit. The leader and the mechanical crew were absolutely outstanding and kept the ride moving beautifully. The country, the landscape, the roads, the people……Wow!

Mike Emanuelsson, Sweden (2018 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

The whole crew was awesome. Loved the landscape, all new friends. Aussies can’t drink beer like Vikings. I loved it so much. Super scrambler is on my list next. Thank you Rex

Gary "Guru" Probin, WA Australia (2017 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

Great people, all like minded, got on well with everyone, the whole group were on the same page, amazing story’s were shared and enjoyed, never a dull moment. On the road, everyone did their own thing at their own pace, no one was left behind. The ride was challenging and fulfilling; the scenery was spectacular, the bikes superb. Good to know you had back up when needed was reassuring, lots of videos were shot for future viewing, I don’t think people will fully understand unless they give it a crack. Good job guys and girls, you will be recommended.

Tito Moyse, QLD Australia (2017 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

I loved every moment of this trip. Everyday got harder and harder. But because it was hard was exactly why I loved it. It forced me to improve my riding skills in all possible ways. The support was second to none. I felt confident that someone had my back at all times. The other riders get you through as well. Everyone shares their experience and tips. I’ve made friends that I would gladly walk through hell with. I’ll never forget this adventure. And I’ll be back to never forget the next.

James Worrell, QLD Australia (2017 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

Putting into words doesn’t give this adventure justice! You will come away some days thinking “that was the worst and best day of riding I have ever done” Personally on this trip seeing the happiness of locals, with the simple things in life, makes you reflect on what is really important in your own life. A number of images have been ingrained into my memory like seeing kids jumping on corrugated pieces of metal as though it was a trampoline, having the time of their lives or a brother and sister holding hands, walking down a goat track to get to school, with the biggest smiles, laughing and waving as we rode past. These experiences put into perspective what is really important, not the latest iPhone or how many hours over time you did, or about what you don’t have, but what you do with your life that is really important. Work to live don’t live to work, experience life and all its beauty. Tackle that mountain, cross that river and come out the other side smiling. Love the simple pleasures in life, smile more, hug each other, love and laugh your way to a better life. We all have challenges in our lives but it’s the road we choose to take that leads us to true happiness. Namaste

Mike Fitzpatrick, WA Australia (2016 India - Distinguished Gentleman's Route)

I loved the group, loved bonding with the guys, loved the mix of people, the roads, the riding and the guide were great. This was an opportunity to ride in remote places with a really capable support crew and most people would not attempt this on their own and without that support. Food was great and the scenery spectacular. I liked the relaxed feel of the group, led by Rex. The Yeti suit kept me laughing even when I was feeling pretty ordinary from altitude. I also loved the opportunity to do some faster riding with Rex on the sections that he felt it was appropriate. Exploring the back roads of northern India was quite something and certainly an unforgettable experience!

Brett Everitt, ACT Australia (2016 India - Distinguished Gentleman's Route)

The thing that makes this trip so fantastic is the scenery, the like minded people you ride with and the sometimes surreal nature of what’s going on around you. The real heroes of this trip are you for doing it, the skills of the back up mechanics, the knowledge of the guide and of course the motorcycles. Where these bikes don’t make sense in the first world, they make perfect sense on the rugged and beautiful roads in India. I’d been wanting to do this trip for a long time and had high expectations with the emotions I wanted to experience when doing this adventure. Himalayan Heroes surpassed my expectations and then some. Handy Hint: Diamox is a must.

Jason Ogg, WA Australia (2013 India - Top of the World)

It’s been absolutely life changing, the best thing I’ve ever experienced.

Carl Burroughs, QLD Australia (2017 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

There is almost nothing that can be said or written that will communicate this adventure accurately. The contrasts are extreme, the conditions are extreme and my enjoyment of the trip was extreme. Having everything organised means I could relax and concentrate on the riding and the beauty of this amazing country. If I had had to navigate, deal with mechanical issues or even negotiate to buy petrol, the whole trip would have been stressful. Instead, I felt relaxed – yet exhilarated the whole time. The only negative is having to leave – the entire team are totally professional, funny and an absolute joy to be around. If you are looking for an adventure of a lifetime – this is it.

Jeremy Ng, Singapore (2017 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

Being a city boy all my life, Himalayan Heroes took me out of my comfort zone and brought me on a trip of a lifetime. Did I expect at all what the trip would bring, no. Would I have done it differently? No. The people and crew that I met on this trip has been nothing short of amazing and professional.

Tim Markovitch, NSW Australia (2013 India - Top of the World)

The 2013 Himalayan trip through Ladakh exceeded even the highest of my expectations. Never before have I experienced such a challenging, inspiring and life changing ride. So incredible was the trip that it has motivated many, including me to take on more adventure riding since then. The ride organisation is first rate as was the strength of friendship forged with others in tackling the most astonishing of roads. I’ll be back for more.

Nathan Edwin, NSW Australia (2013 India - Top of the World)

This trip was without doubt the best two weeks of my life. I’ve never had this much fun ever. I can’t imagine anything better than what I’ve just done.

Gwen Shirkey Texas, USA (2014 India - Top of the World)

I had contacted Rex about this experience, having had ZERO motorcycle adventure experience. From start to finish, this was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had in my life. Rex helped me with preparation (via email and FB site) and gave me good advice. I especially appreciate the more “casual” nature of this type of trip. I did not know anyone on the expedition prior to my arrival in India, and they all made me feel at home and I will definitely rely on Himalayan Heroes tour group again. I feel like there was just enough blend of risk, adventure and care. If you are uptight about schedules or having to know every little detail as you travel around the world, this is NOT the adventure for you. If you are willing to take some risk, enjoy meeting new people who deeply care for a sense of fun, adventure and testing physical and mental skill and work together to make a trip like this an adventure of a lifetime, this is DEFINITELY the trip you should consider. I loved the experience and now have new friends in Perth, India and Berlin. Huge kudos to Rex, the guides our mechanics and back-up crew for helping me make a dream come true in my life.

Steve Gernhoefer, WA Australia (2013 India - Top of the World)

It’s been an absolutely fantastic life experience, I’ve really enjoyed it.

Andrew "Doc" Lewis , Victoria Australia (2013 India - Top of the World)

For the last two weeks, I’ve had the time of my life.

Peter Scott, USA (2014 India - Top of the World)

It was my first time in India, so everything was going to be new and I had a blast. We had almost every kind of personality in the group, except for any unlikable types, so it made for easy travelling and lots of laughs. Our guide was a super chilled character and a very calming influence for the group, and was a confidence builder, taking care of every little hurdle that presented itself with calmness and efficiency. The variation in our overnight accommodations was perfect, from funky hotels to organized tent camping in superb locations, to the last night when we were treated to elegant 5 star accommodations back in Delhi. I can’t recommend doing this trip with these guys strongly enough. It was fantastic. Part of the charm lay in the bikes, solid old technology Royal Enfields. Part of that charm was that they were never designed to take the punishment we put them through and being far from anything you could call modern, it was a real accomplishment to coax them from start to finish. And while I personally never had any issues with my bike, the rare occasion one acted up or got a flat, the wonderful support mechanics were there to keep things moving. We were lucky to have perfect weather every single day, which made life even easier, and while we never saw anything particularly challenging it would be advisable for anyone contemplating such a trip to have at least a couple of years of trail/dirt/desert riding under their belts. It’s no Red Bull Last Man Standing event, but it’s also no walk in the park. Go have a great time with these guys.

Fenwick Brabben, UK (2020 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

By far the best motorcycling adventure of my life.

Trent Graham, USA (2019 India - Top of the World)

This trip to the top of the world will take your breath away with unimaginable beauty in a foreign land. Be prepared for a diverse culture, a riding experience like no other and an adventure that will rock your soul.

Graham Hope, Australia (2019 India - Distinguished Gentleman's Route)

The Himalayas. The mystery, the intrigue, the top of the world. A place where legends and adventures are forged. A series of mountain ranges linked by ribbons of roads cutting through and over unimaginable high mountain passes. Making some of these roads the highest trafficable roads in the world. Roads that travel through a range of changing scenery of breathtaking beauty and scale. Nothing the like you have witnessed before. No photo or video can do justice. And we got to ride amazing motorcycles for two weeks in this amazing place. Nothing can prepare your senses for the reality of being immersed within this environment. Being on a motorbike you are part of the environment. The sounds, the smells, the tastes surround you as you move through. You are not watching the world go by, like watching TV, as you sit in a car, watching from behind the car windows. If you doubt it, you put your boot down and touch the ground. (Paraphrased Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance)

Colin Smith, Australia (2019 India - Distinguished Gentleman's Route)

Awesome scenery & since fantastic riding with a great bunch of blokes & a top notch support crew. Definitely challenging at times, but overall a lot of fun.

Nate True, USA (2019 India - Super Scramble)

Getting pulled out of your comfort zone; culturally, geographically, and riding-wise is what one wants in an adventure like this. You get all of these experiences and more. Riding you motorcycle on pavement that winds around a river valley and bombing down a dirt track on a Royal Enfield at high speeds with high consequence surroundings demands that one feels alive from the very beginning. People without much dirt riding experience step up and others push themselves even further. No rider will find a single day, even hour, where they have not felt the rush from exciting riding while on this trip. Right when you are feeling like the tarmac cruise is feeling pretty peaceful, you can count on there being a cow, open road works, people walking, or a pig in the road right around the corner. From the impressively hectic feel of Delhi to the pure peace that can be felt watching a woman calmly walk her goat herd down the road at dusk, every day allows for such a range of experiences while riding in India. At the end of the day, you arrive at your hotel with a huge sense of accomplishment, comradery, and a full spirit after avoiding sand traps, cows, oncoming traffic, and rock slides. A rider wants to feel alive, and you have no other option than to look back at the day and share common sights, experiences, and struggles with the other riders. Who messed up, who narrowly made it past the oncoming truck, and who may be the next one to wear the stunt shirt conversations take you until dinner time, and beyond. Sitting around with your trip mates and having a beer while eating the great local cuisine makes for a perfect evening. Early to bed after a satisfying meal and great conversation since tomorrow is another new version of the same adventure. The terrain never gets old in India. One half hour ride can bring you from lower elevation farm country up into a old growth pine forest, and then even further up into barren, almost Martian, landscapes. No matter where you call home, you will find a multitude of amazing sights to stare at......and jaw-dropping cliff riding to keep you honest and rip your attention back to the riding where it belongs for the moment. There are plenty of chances to take photos and document the experience during resting areas and roadside tea sheds. From the vibrant colors of houses, produce stalls, rivers, and local dress to the extreme ragged granite faces of Himalayan mountainsides, the rider is always surrounded by beauty on these rides.

Ray Yardley, Australia (2019 Mongolia - Mongolian Maniacs)

It's like the greatest camping and motorbike trip you can have. It's lots of fun and as an Australian, I felt very much at home in Mongolia.

Allen Willis, Australia (2019 Mongolia - Mongolian Maniacs)

Mongolia is an amazing place everyone should see the last frontier.

Peter Feltham, Australia (2019 Mongolia - Mongolian Maniacs)

Travelling Mongolia was like exploring the last frontier. It was a step back in time:- wild, natural, and for the most part pristine. If you are a little curious about this country you’re in for a great surprise.

Jerry Allen, USA (2019 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

A real and true adventure!

Doug Phelan, Australia (2019 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

Your every sense will be tested every time you climb on the bike. Be prepared to be challenged physically and emotionally. But the pride, relief, satisfaction and confidence you will gain from achieving this challenge makes it all worth while.

Peter Eather, Australia (2020 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

Great trip, really good food, the boys were fantastic, an awesome place to go to, extremely well put together adventure & would not hesitate to recommend the trip.

Chris Stylis, Australia (2020 Nepal - Stairway to Heaven)

For me the importance of any adventure is the people. Rex and the support crew were excellent and more than helpful. But also the fellow adventurers. We laughed for the 14 days we were away. So for me the riding came second. However, as I mentioned already I was totally in a new style of riding. And I did it! Probably wouldn't do this style of riding again but would consider the Tibet adventure another time. 100% fun
